Roleplay for people who want their stories to hold up. A chain of command in every department, training for every role, and a real person reading every application.

You might patrol the causeways with the Highway Patrol, run a mechanic shop in Port Gellhorn, take 911 calls on a busy Friday night, or plan something the Sheriff’s Office would rather you didn’t.

Whatever you pick, the people around you are taking it as seriously as you are.

Why we started Leonida State

Choose where you start

Four divisions, each with its own training and leadership. You can move between them once you’ve settled in.

Law Enforcement

Three agencies share jurisdiction over Leonida. Officers patrol, investigate and testify, and every arrest has to hold up in court.

  • Vice City Police Department
  • Leonida Sheriff’s Office
  • Leonida Highway Patrol
  • Marine & Air Support

Fire & Rescue

Leonida Fire Rescue runs every engine, ambulance and rescue boat in the state. Our crews go out to structure fires, highway pileups and swamp airboat accidents.

  • Engine & Truck Companies
  • Rescue Ambulance
  • Marine Rescue
  • Air Rescue

Dispatch

Every emergency in Leonida starts with a dispatcher. You take the 911 call, decide what it needs, and send the right units.

  • Call Taking
  • Police Radio
  • Fire & EMS Radio

Civilian

Most of Leonida is civilians. Mechanics, lawyers, reporters, real estate agents, airboat tour guides, and people with plans the police shouldn’t hear about.

What we hold ourselves to

Realism over spectacle

Scenes play out the way they would in real life. A traffic stop is a conversation, and a robbery has consequences that outlast the evening.

Trained before you serve

Nobody goes on duty untrained. Every department runs an academy, pairs new members with a training officer, and signs off skills one at a time.

Rules apply to everyone

Founders and first-week members answer to the same rulebook. Reports go to a separate team, and appeals go to someone who wasn’t involved.

Six places to start a story

From the Vice City beachfront to the Gulf coast. Each region plays differently, and your division decides which ones you’ll see most.

How to join

Three steps. Most applications get a reply within a few days.

  1. Join the Discord

Training, announcements and support all run through Discord. Staff contact you there about your application.

  2. Send your application

About 20 minutes: your experience, a few roleplay scenarios and the character you want to play.

  3. Get whitelisted

A member of staff reads it and replies in Discord. Once you’re approved, attend orientation and you’re in.

You’ll need Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, a microphone, and to be 17 or older.

Who runs the server

Out of character, five staff teams keep Leonida running. Each one reports to Administration.

  • Server OperationsRuns the in-character departments and approves major storylines.
  • Whitelist & OnboardingReads every application and welcomes new members.
  • IntegrityHandles reports, penalties and appeals. Applies the same rules to everyone.

Before you apply

The questions we hear most.

All questions and answers

What does “whitelisted” mean?

Only approved members can join sessions. Everyone fills in an application and staff read each one before letting them in. This keeps the roleplay serious and the community safe.

Why is the minimum age 17?

Grand Theft Auto VI is rated for mature players and our scenes deal with crime, violence and adult themes. Every member must be 17 or older.

Which platforms do you support?

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Sessions are hosted separately for each platform.

I’ve never roleplayed before. Can I still join?

Yes. Tell us that in your application. New players get orientation, and Civilian is a relaxed place to learn before you try a department.
